Michael received his M.D. from the Yale School of Medicine and completed his residency training in Adult Psychiatry at the Cambridge Health Alliance, an affiliate hospital of Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, MA. Michael also completed the one-year fellowship in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. He has worked as a therapist and sub-investigator on multiple Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical trials of MDMA-Assisted Therapy for treatment of PTSD, and he is an Educator and Consultant for Lykos Therapeutics. Michael co-founded the Harvard Interdisciplinary Program in Psychedelics, a psychedelics education program for mental health trainees and faculty at Harvard Medical School. An active, multi-instrumental musician, he is particularly interested in the role of music in psychedelic-assisted therapy. In his spare time, Michael enjoys rock climbing, brewing kombucha, and spending time with his family. He speaks Chinese (Mandarin) and Spanish.
